Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TrailNest: Camping Journal is a private, offline-first camping and RV journal for iPhone. The app helps you plan trips, manage gear lists, keep photo journals, track RV and vehicle data, record trip expenses, and export travel archives. The Service does not include a public campsite database, social features, or user accounts.

3. License and Usage

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the TrailNest app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app.

4. Your Data

Your camping records belong to you. TrailNest stores data locally on your device and optionally syncs via iCloud. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. We are not liable for data loss caused by device failure, iCloud issues, or user error. The app provides JSON export and (with TrailNest Pro) PDF and backup restore tools to help you protect your records.

5. TrailNest Pro Subscriptions

TrailNest Pro is available as an auto-renewing annual subscription ($19.99/year) or a one-time lifetime purchase ($49.99). Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Annual subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.

Free trial periods, if offered, will convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchase.

6. Refunds

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful personal purposes. You may not use the Service to store or transmit harmful, illegal, or infringing content, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or interfere with the operation of the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

TrailNest, its logo, design, and software are the property of CodeMXM and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or source code beyond the limited license to use the app.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Camping and outdoor activities carry inherent risks; TrailNest is an organization tool and does not provide safety, navigation, or emergency services.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrailNest and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, trip planning errors, or device issues.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
